Monte Alto delle Cime d’Auta

Monte Alto is part of the Cime d’Auta mountain range and overlooks the Lèch dei Giai, a pretty mountain lake of glacial origins.

This 2545 meter high mountain can be reached from the Forcella dei Negher starting from Sottoguda, passing through Franzei and continuing along the high altitude pastures that completely cover this peak.

In this uncontaminated place it is not uncommon to meet some specimens of the populous colony of Alpine ibexes of the Marmolada.

From the summit it is possible to admire in addition to the Lèch dei Giai, also many Dolomite peaks.
