Mount Sasso Bianco

Monte Sasso Bianco is the mountain overlooking the Val Pettorina at an altitude of 2407 meters above sea level.

This mountain is essentially divided into two main slopes, the first is totally rocky and faces the Val Pettorina, the second is made up almost entirely of high altitude meadows and pastures and faces the Agordina valley.

The peak can be reached starting from Caracoi Cimaipassing through the tableland named Giardogn or starting from Bramezza and continuing towards Casera Bur, up to the landslide of Mount Piz which gave rise to Alleghe Lake. Near Mount Forca the two paths join up to reach the grassy peak.
