Mount Piz

The mountain which overlooks Calloneghe area is Mount Piz at 1858 meters of altitude. It is characterized by Lastron de Piz, a large rock slab originated by 1771 landslide.

Mount Piz landslide is famous to be the one who gave origins to Alleghe Lake: the enormous quantity of rock material fallen down from the mountain created a natural dam who stopped Cordevole river course. This natural dam gave origin to Alleghe Lake.

Mount Piz is reachable from Bramezza village following the forestry road to Casera Bur and Tabiai Forca, the place where it is possible to observe the landslide starting point.
