This excursion allows you to go up to the eastern peak of Mount Sasso Bianco, with an indescribable view of Civetta and the Marmolada. It is of medium difficulty, but in the first part follows a narrow path and therefore is not easy for ski.
The starting point is Caracoi Cimaifrom where you go up along a steep and forced path through the dense forest. In Giardogn the view becomes more open and you can admire the Mount Sasso Bianco, which is rocky and inaccessible from this side.
To proceed is necessary to go around the rocky strip, along a channel close to the rocks or follow the path used also in summer, which climbs the valley furthest to the left.
Once you reach the saddle between the Mount Sasso Bianco and the Mount Sasso Nero, a short steeper stretch between the rocks allows you to reach the final slope that climbs up along the left ridge.
