Sopracordevole

This village could be reached by car following the main road or by feet following the footpath coming from Saviner di Laste , Digoneraor Laste di Sotto.

At 1191 meters of altitude, Sopracordevole takes its name from its position upstream of Cordevole river.

In 1960 this village has seen the beginning of a dam construction works on Cordevole river, which have neve been finished. This dam was projected to create a small lake in order to produce hydropower. Works have been stopped by the authorities after Vajont tragedy, but still today it is possible to see its signs.
