There is no official information on a possible opening date for the fall\/winter season.<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h5>\u00a0<\/h5>\n<p>Groups may show up at times other than the opening hours but are subject to the 200-person limit within the site (so group members may have to enter in instalments and not all together at once).<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>A natural canyon created by the erosion of the ice and of the Pettorina torrent flow, a fascinating and unique display of nature: these are the Serrai di Sottoguda.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>A path of about 2 km dominated by imposing rocky walls over a hundred meters high, which until the first half of the 1960s was the only way of communication between <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitmarmolada.com\/en\/places\/sottoguda\/\">Sottoguda<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitmarmolada.com\/en\/places\/malga-ciapela\/\">Malga Ciapela<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>In both senses the show is guaranteed, there are many elements that\u2019ll capture your attention: the Franzei waterfall, the small Sant&#8217;Antonio church and the statue of the Madonna located in a natural cave.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>In summer, the Serrai represent the ideal setting for peaceful family excursions, to reach the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitmarmolada.com\/categorie-attivita\/escursioni-estate\/#filter=r-fullyTranslatedLangus-,sb-sortedBy-0&amp;ipd=47527867\">Ombretta Valley<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitmarmolada.com\/categorie-attivita\/escursioni-estate\/#filter=r-fullyTranslatedLangus-,sb-sortedBy-0&amp;ipd=49546294\">Franzedaz Valley<\/a> <strong>d<\/strong>irectly from Sottoguda without moving the car or to reach the departure of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitmarmolada.com\/en\/activities\/marmolada-move-to-the-top\/\">Marmolada &#8211; Move to the Top<\/a> cable car.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>In winter they are the perfect place for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitmarmolada.com\/en\/activities\/ice-climbing\/\">ice climbing<\/a> lovers. Enclosed by immense rock walls that fall overhanging, this canyon is the most renowned and famous ice gym in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitmarmolada.com\/en\/unesco-dolomites\/\">Dolomites<\/a>, with its frozen walls and waterfalls it offers unique emotions to this sport lovers as well as breathtaking views to all guests.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>In the event of adverse weather conditions during the winter season, the authorities may issue the order for the temporary closure of the Serrai di Sottoguda for safety reasons.
