News and updates

Following the tragic events of 3 July and out of despair for this terrible disaster, we wish to inform all Guests in our valley and all those who will be in Rocca Pietore over the next few days that :

– Malga Ciapela is regularly accessible: the paths to Valle Ombretta (CAI path no. 610) and to Val Franzedaz (CAI path no. 689) can be reached. Shops and hotel  are regularly open
– Funivie Marmolada reopened today the Malga Ciapela – Serauta section. The Museum of the Great War is open. The last station reaching Punta Rocca remains closed to allow rescue operations. As soon as there are updates, they will be promptly communicated.

‼️ The three cable car stations up to Punta Rocca have been open regularly since 10th July ‼️

– the Padon area is regularly accessible, both as regards the footpaths (CAI path Passo Fedaia – Rifugio Padon no. 699 and Passo Padon – Portavescovo no. 680) and the chairlift Capanna Bill-Rifugio and Passo Padon
– the Fedaia Pass is regularly passable

‼️The orders of the municipalities of Rocca Pietore, San Giovanni di Fassa and Canazei to CLOSE the Marmolada glacier remain in force‼️ (Please NO to horror tourism 🙏 out of respect for the victims and families).
